majestik666 0 #1 January 31, 2006 Hi, not sure if the question has been asked before or not .. couldn't find a post about it. I'm starting to think about screwing a dv cam on my head for my jumps and I recently noticed the new generation of dvs using hard disk or micro drives. They are relatively small even compared to the PC, does anyone have any experience with this kind of hardware ? And another video related question, what's the best position for a camera, on top or on the side ? pros / cons ? (for a new video helmet jumper btw) Thanks! Francois Edit: oops i actually found a few but for a different brand of camera...sorry about that .. but the second question about camera question remains :)
freeflydrew 0 #2 January 31, 2006 you should really do a search for these answers as they've probably been covered before... the micro drive isn't good for skydiving... stick with minidv, and opinions vary on where the best place for video is. I personally have the stills on top and the vid on the side.
