download from digital camera to iPod

Recommended Posts

I'd have to guess no. [:/]

Obviously you know it's possible with a PC as the go-between, and this is one reason I bring my 60GB iPod everywhere with me... it doubles as an external HDD. I don't have a laptop but I can always find somebody who does, and use it to dump pics from my camera (or somebody else's) to my iPod.

Is the USB port on the 20D a USB2.0 one? If its a 1.1 like the 10D it wil be MUCH faster to get the memory card reader.

Slick devices, its one of the reasons I'm getting an iPod instead of something else.

HERE is a picture of the memory card reader. You're right, it is a Belkin. I had thought it was made by Apple.

I had toyed with getting one for one of my road trips, but didn't because I didn't like not being able to view the files on my iPod (3rd Generation). Little did I know that Apple would come out with the iPod that's on the market now! If it plugs into the new iPod I'd get it in an instant!

As Lori mentions above, the Apple Camera Connector will do the trick...Here's the verbiage from Apple Store...

Simply plug the iPod Camera Connector into the iPod dock connector, plug your camera's USB cable and watch your images make their way to the iPod, ready to view in a slide show!

Compatible with iPod with color display. Requires iPod photo software v1.1 or later. Go to www.apple.com/ipod/download to download the most recent iPod updater software.

Compatible with iPod with video.

See www.apple.com/support/ipod/photos for supported cameras.
