WingnutOrange 0 #1 March 1, 2006 I'm interested in building a camera helmet to shoot student video/fun jumps. So far I have found a couple of cameras in my price range: the PC5 and the PC7. I'm wondering from all the vidiots out here, which one is better? Any input is greatly appreciated
 stratostar 5 #2 March 2, 2006 The PC-7 has a stupid lanc port that is a plastic adapter that plugs in to the side of the unit and would break off very easy and also wouldn't let you put it in a d-box. However the 5 has the regular lanc port, so that would be your best bet. I found a brand new PC 100 (unopened factory box)on e-bay for 480.00, it would be wise to shop hard to find the right one for the right price, it took me awhile to find this one but it was worth the wait. Hope that helps. ~you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
 linestretch 0 #3 March 3, 2006 Plus (going off of memory here), the PC5 uses the S series batteries...which stands for 'fucking piece of shit won't hold a charge' series. I would stay away from them. If you don't, you'll quickly be saying "fuck, my piece of shit battery is already dead, I just charged it"!my pics & stuff! Don't know what your budget is but there's a nice looking pc120 on eBay right now with a buy it now at $499. I managed to pick up my pc110 for something like $275 (also on eBay), so if you keep an eye out you might be able to get a good deal somewhere. Hope this helps...Miami
 Join the conversation You can post now and register later.
