racer42 0 #1 March 3, 2006 I'm a little bleary eyed from searching the web for a wide angle lens that will fit a Sony PC 109. .43 to .50 will do. I just can't find with or without adapter rings to fit this camera. I'm new to video so any help would be appreciated. racer42 0 #3 March 3, 2006 That's what I'm looking for. The PS 109 takes a 25mm mount. I knew they were out there. Thanks. FreeflyGoat 0 #4 March 3, 2006 Or you can go the cheap route and buy a Kenko .45 from B&H photo.com I considered the same thing and then thought that I can buy 3 Kenko lenses to 1 smaller expensive lense. I bought a lense filter/protector too but I just took it off cuz I can just go buy 2 more if it gets scratched. ha. Now it is way bigger than the Cookie, so if you want to go for size then go with the Cookie. When I buy a really wide angle I'm probably gonna buy the Cookie one myself._________________________ goat derka jerka bukkake jihad
Peej 0 #5 March 3, 2006 I use a Kenko .45, it fits perfectly without stepup rings. Edited to add: the Goat beat me to it. Advertisio Rodriguez / Sky
racer42 0 #6 March 3, 2006 Yeah I just ordered one of the better (?) Kenko lenses for about $80. At least it said it was a 25mm thread. That's where I was haveing the problem. Not even the owner's manual made mention of the the lens mount. andyflylife 0 #7 March 3, 2006 Just for your future reference, when i was searching for a lens for my PC109 i discovered the SONY own brand 0.6 lens. This SONY0.6 is actually wider angle than the Kenko 0.5!!!!(i'm not quite sure why) I chose the Kenko 0.5 but when i decide to get a wider field of view i'll go for the Sony 0.6 as it seems really well made and is made for the 25mm thread. Part number is VCL-0625S Blues. "swooper 24/7, 365!" ME on Myspace My Project playlist
kmcguffee 0 #8 March 4, 2006 QuoteI use a Kenko .45, it fits perfectly without stepup rings. I have a Sony .6. I bought the Kenko .45 and compared the two. The Sony .6 actually had a wider viewing angle than the Kenko .45. I would go with the Sony .6. You can find them cheap on Ebay. "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do."
