Miami 0 #4 April 12, 2006 QuoteI have heard the Sony (which one) is pretty good. But does it have that pesky "3-chip" problem? Flea...Sony cameras are the norm for freefall video. Stay away from hard drive or dvd cameras...you want one that is mini-dv or, if you have the cash, hdv. B&H has some of the most recent models, or you can just use the search option here to get an idea of popular models, then find them cheap on eBay! Hope that helps...Miami
napaguy99 0 #5 April 12, 2006 Yeah I've been jumping the Sony (which one) for about 400 jumps now and I love it! "Let the misinterpretation and attacks begin."

HUSHPUPPY 0 #7 April 12, 2006 I like my HC-40 as well...but now wish I had gotten the Sony (which one)! "You made my panties wet!" Skymama (Fitz 09) "Never argue with an idiot. tso-d_chris 0 #8 April 12, 2006 Yes, if you are going to freefly, you must have a camera. USPA made that a BSR back in 98 or 99, IIRC. For Great Deals on Gear

I hung up my camera to go do some freeflying...Having some problem sticking the head-down.... I should put the camera -back- on and I'd be stylin'! Thanks for the tip, flea! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
packerboy 3 #11 April 13, 2006 The new Sony models HC26/36 don't have the LANC port for the cameye, just the HC96 whic as a fair bit more expensive. Try to find one of last years models HC32/42. -------------------------------------------------- In matters of style, swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock. ~ Thomas Jefferson
