Panasonic DV tapes on sale...

Recommended Posts

There are better deals out there, like taperesources.com's dv60prl Sony's for 3.99 ea and quite often at 3.49 ea, really good quality tapes and the only tapes you should be using in a Sony camcorder.

The deal you describe is better than buying them over the counter, so to speak.

Ive been using Panasonic in my sony for 2 years. i havent had any problems with TAPES.

I hear the rumors about use other brands will ruin your camera but I dont see it.

I do not use different types of tapes though. i started with panasonic and stuck with them because ,supposedly the manufacturers usedifferent chem. on the tapes and after prolonged mixing they can clog up you heads etc.

Really you can use any tape in your camera, you just want to use the same type tape all the time. Each brand of tape uses it's own type of lube to keep the tape sliding over the heads smoothly...some use a wet, some use a dry. You start mixing tapes and you start getting errors and messy heads when those lubes mix and cause a big gunky mess in there.
