Zeemax 0 #2 May 18, 2006 i'll happily go out and buy you one if you want? But it'll be a uk model, meaning, not as cheap as anywhere else... I know i can pick up a brand new PC1000E (PAL) on tottenham court road from a sony dealer for just over £600, if that helps?Phoenix Fly - High performance wingsuits for skydiving and BASE Performance Designs - Simply brilliant canopies
DSE 5 #3 May 18, 2006 B&H and Adorama both stock PAL cams for sale in the US. You'd have a US warranty purchasing from one of them. I believe ZotzDigital also stocks PAL.

dragon2 2 #7 May 28, 2006 Let me know if you or anyone else still needs a PAL camera. I know a camera flyer at my DZ that will probably sell all his camera gear to change to HD. He has 4 TRV-style camera's (I think, 4 camera's total at least 3 TRV's), complete with chargers, quick releases, wide angle lenses, brackets for those camera's/lenses, etc. ciel bleu, Saskia
mccordia 74 #8 May 31, 2006 Too bad the smaller HDV cameras do not have the same options as their resp. big brothers...they actualy enable you to switch between PAL en NTSC recording...sure hope this feature becomes available on the regular consumer cameras (and small HDV cams) soon... Would save us a lot of trouble..JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Would save us a lot of trouble.. Don't expect it, not from anything like the A1 or HC3. The reason the Z can do this, is because it has room on the power module for dual clocks and regulators. One runs at 50Hz and the other at 60Hz. Someday, we might see something that runs at 48Hz, 50Hz, and 60Hz. Canon has this as a purchaseable option for the XLH1, but outside of that...(and it's a HUGE camera)
