sgt_ludy 0 #1 May 27, 2006 hi, so i bought a new sony pc1000 yesterday on ebay and noticed that it makes pics with 2.8 Million pixels. is there a possibility to somehow make pics while filming, and if yes, to attach a suck/blow thingy or similar item to the cam to shoot stills? piisfish 140 #2 May 27, 2006 I might be wrong but I think you have to press on the the photo button to take pics. Or eventually do a modification to attach a switch.scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
nate_1979 9 #3 May 28, 2006 Picture quality when filming video is not as good as it would be if the same camera was actually in the "Memory" mode.. It would be possible to make a device which allowed for video and pictures through the LANC port (CamEye 3?), but I know of no such device that is setup for ease of use during skydiving yet. The quality of pictures is still much better than doing a frame grab, your just not going to get the large high quality pictures from the camera when recording video.. Would be pretty sweet to have a bite switch added to the CamEye for taking pictures though... Even if the quality isnt the same FGF #??? I miss the sky...
