Zoter 0 #3 June 29, 2006 Correct me if I am wrong.....but you can play both NTSC and PAL on your PC without problem... Its just playback on a TV. (well my NTSC's playback fine on my PC anyways)
neilly 0 #4 June 29, 2006 You May need to change the region that the laptop/PC will play. My laptop tells me that I can only change this 4 times before the system will lock up on the last setting chosen,Fly like an aardvark

My laptop tells me that I can only change this 4 times before the system will lock up on the last setting chosen, That only happens if the DVD is set for a certain region. I've burned many DVDs and I've never set the region for them.. those will play on any DVD player..
bob.dino 1 #6 July 3, 2006 QuoteMy laptop tells me that I can only change this 4 times before the system will lock up on the last setting chosen, Region and encoding are separate. If burn a DVD, it'll be set to Region 0 or "any region". Then the only issue is encoding - NTSC or PAL. Many DVD players and TVs sold in PAL regions can also decode NTSC. I don't know if the reverse holds true.
