davidpanal 0 #1 August 10, 2006 I know everybody says canon 350d is great but too expensive for me at the moment. I see some 300D in ebay for a good price, this ll be my first still camera, can anyone tell me if it is good. Thank you so much.

Stumpy 284 #3 August 10, 2006 Huh? Are you sure you aren't thinking of the 30D?Never try to eat more than you can lift
davidpanal 0 #4 August 10, 2006 what model do you think I should get, speed is very important. Thank you
Icon134 0 #5 August 10, 2006 I think the other poster is confusing your inquiry with the 30D which is much more expensive then the 300D (aka Digital Rebel) and a very bulky Camera. The Original rebel is a perfectly viable option for skydiving and has been used by many a skydiver prior to the popularity of the Rebel XT (350D) ScottLivin' on the Edge... sleeping with my rigger's wife... I have just over 17000 shots taken with my 300D. 90% of which are in freefall, or in the plane.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun
avenfoto 0 #8 August 17, 2006 being a nikon shooter, i apologize for my ass-headedness in the world of canon. i shot (and strngely enjoyed) and thought the op was referring to the mark1, 17mpix model.. ill crawl back into my hole now.
NSEMN8R 0 #9 August 17, 2006 I'd try to scrape up the extra couple hundred dollars for the XT if speed is important. I was getting 12 to 16 shots in freefall with my 300D. With the 350 I usually get 40 or 50.
