Skydive Cinema event in Oxford

Recommended Posts

We all know that there's only one thing that's almost as good as skydiving, and that's watching skydiving.

We've sorted out the venue and now all we need is some footage. A local independant cinema has agreed to let us use their facilities and we think that everyone should get the opportunity to see their videos on the big screen.

We're looking for videos that you've put together, anything from 1-10 minutes long. Anything will be considered, as long as it's skydiving-related. Selected entries will be compiled into a feature-length production and shown at the Ultimate Picture Palace in Oxford on 18th November at 3PM.

Will,
Nice thing you are doing there.
I have to ask though, does the video need to be on 35mm (or is it 34mm) film if it is going through a cinema?

If it is, what will the cost of this be and would you like people to contribute to this cost?

I know in New Zealan when i was trying to do an advert at the cinemas for my dz they cost was going to be over $10,000 to convert our film to 35 (34) mm film.

We're accepting submissions in digital format, either on DVD or WMV/AVI/MPG/MOV format, etc..

Ultimately, the footage will probably end up on a DVD, which the cinema is equipped to play.

As for the cost, the cinema are allowing us to do this for free but they'll charge an entrance fee of about £5 per person.

Will
