Amelia 0 #1 November 9, 2006 Hi guys hoping someone can help me with this as I'm new to editing.... I'm putting together a compilation of my footage and some from others, but one guy has recorded in "NTSC". When putting the footage onto the editing programme Adobe Premier Pro, i can't get this bit of footage to play. Have tried altering to 'NTSC' rather than Pal in the capture screen but it still won't play. I can get it to work in Power Producer but Adobe still won't let me import it across. Any suggestions how I can get this to work? (not very good with computers so talk in basic English please!!) thanks! :-)
jerry81 10 #2 November 9, 2006 Have you tried starting a new NTSC project and capturing there? Then you can just import the captured file into your PAL project. If that doesn't work you can also try Windows Movie Maker (shiver) for the capture and import to Premiere.
dragon2 2 #3 November 10, 2006 You need to capture the footage in a project with the right settings for that footage (PAL 4:3 for DV PAL, NTSC 16:9 for widescreen NTSC, etc). Then you can import the footage into your working project. Be sure to resize the imported video to fit and always deinterlace that bit of footage to get the framerate right (25 fps vs 30 fps). ciel bleu, Saskia
