The111 1 #6 November 20, 2006 The one time I dealt with B&H they took several days to ship. Which all the online places say they may do, but I have ordered from other places like Adorama and Beach Camera and it was usually shipped same day. Also, the time I dealt with B&H, right after I placed my order their website went entirely offline for 5 days, and nobody answered the phone for those 5 days either. I realize this is probably not the norm, but I know they do have weird quirks because of their religious schedule. One of the smaller (but reputable) online dealers will probably make a much bigger effort to keep your business by getting your stuff out fast - I got my 10-22 from Adorama a month ago, paid for 2 day shipping and had it less than 48 hours after clicking order. Pricegrabber.com will list prices from reliable dealers. I had to return something to Adorama too, and it was very hassle-free.www.WingsuitPhotos.com
icevideot 0 #7 November 20, 2006 I have been dealing with B&H occasionally for 5 years and have always been very pleased both online and on the phone. They do take holidays that I wouldn't expect but they give a lot of notice on the website (which is why I even know). Any computer system could crash and any order could be lost in the shuffle. Go ahead and register an online account and you can check shipping status online and if you have any questions I have never had trouble getting help on the phone. I also hear good things about Adorama and Abe's of Maine but haven't used them myself. I find the part number of what I want and then go to pricegrabber.com to compare options. Be sure and look at seller ratings on pricegrabber."... this ain't a Nerf world."
