wayne8577 0 #1 December 9, 2006 Can someone in the know tell about the liquid lens for the cookie mxv helmet with a hc26 camera? Is it needed? What does it do? Etc? I just bought one for my son for X-mas with the cookie cutaway strap. Also is the Cameye2 needed? Thanks WayneHere's to Old Farts in the Wind!
dragon2 2 #2 December 9, 2006 You buy a lens depending on what flying he will do: generally, .45/.5 /.6 magnification for outside flying and .3 magnification for filming from inside the formation. The lens threadsize needs to match up to the camera (ie 25mm, 30mm, 37mm) or you get a step-up ring to make it fit. Generally you do not film a skydive without a wideangle lens so he'll need one. You buy a cameye to see if the camera is recording or not and to MAKE the camera record. Only useful if the camera has a LANC port (should be in the specs, it's a blue round port). If it has LANC (most cheaper models do not have LANC these days) then it's useful, yes. edit: you need a 25mm lens and it doesn't have LANC. ciel bleu, Saskia
ltdiver 3 #3 December 9, 2006 QuoteAlso is the Cameye2 needed? No, the Cameye2 isn't 'needed' because the hc26 does not have a LANC port to plug it in to. http://www.camcorderinfo.com/content/Sony-DCR-HC26-Camcorder-Review.htm ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
