idlewild70 0 #1 December 24, 2006 I have 2 of these cameras for work, and am looking to see if anyone makes a box for them, not to be used for skydiving. As of now they are attached by a thumb thread and i am looking for a way to protect and possibly lock them in place.-Fish Blue skies, Soft landings
freefalle 0 #2 December 24, 2006 check with Wes at rim world video id Deland. I don't think there is a camera out there that he cant make something for, I'm not sure exactly what you are looking for but I bet he can help you figure something out. Laszloimage 0 #3 December 24, 2006 ...that's a big and heavy camera. Yes this guy Wes can do it for sure, he built a mount for Tony Hathaway's Kodak PRO (similar size as the Ds-1). Here is his web link: http://www.rimworldvideo.com/ -Laszlo- www.laszloimage.com

volo 0 #5 December 28, 2006 I'm in the same situation as you. I use the Canon 5D in the air (though i'm brand new to aerial photography) and the Mark II for work. I agree, it's an extremely heavy camera to push down on your neck, especially if you're adding a flash. I just had a helmet made by Wes and it fits my flash and 5D. So far, I'm lovin' it and it's working out well. Though I'm not sure how much longer Wes will be continuing to develop the CCMs. Good luck with your decision in this Jason Jerusalem life@jasonjerusalem.com
idlewild70 0 #6 December 28, 2006 basically i have 2 $10,000 cameras secured by a thumb screw. Im looking for a better way to secure them.-Fish Blue skies, Soft landings
Miami 0 #7 December 28, 2006 While I have much less mounted on my head monetary wise...I secure my 20D beyond the thumb screw by putting it on a Schumacher QuickShoe (attached to helmet via 4 screws) and then strap the camera to the quickshoe with a 1" wide piece of nylon. I add protection to the package by putting the camera in a neoprene sleeve...keeps the minor bumps from doing damage. I posted pictures a while back when it was on my FF2, but now that it is on an Azimuth I need to take more...Miami
