lister55 0 #1 January 22, 2007 I am in the market for a replacement wide angle lense for my pc109. would you recomend the .3 from waycool for $150 or this .45 from B&H. Neither lense requires a step ring. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=Search&A=details&Q=&sku=445200&is=REG&addedTroughType=search My old lense was a .45 and I really liked it for shooting tandems. I have used a .3 and like it, but do not like having to be so close at all times. It seems like the BH lense is pretty low profile which is another concern. Would you pay an extra $100 for the waycool that will not zoom past the half way or get the cheaper slightly longer lense that will zoom all the way. ltdiver 3 #2 January 23, 2007 Personally, for tandems, I like the Sony .6. It actually has a wider field of view than the .45 I have. See explanation here: http://www.futurecam.com/wide.html Go figure. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
Zee 0 #3 January 23, 2007 I wouldn't really bother with a .3 for tandems. A .45 is plenty wide if that's what you intend on using it for. Action©Sports

Really good quality optics too.*************** Not one shred of evidence supports the theory that life is serious - look at the platypus.

lister55 0 #7 January 23, 2007 Yeah I have been following the discussion about Royal. Too bad, I hate to see a company screw people so badly. Thanks for the replies I went ahead and ordered the lense from Sony.

I surely did. What a shame - I got a lens from Max in 2004. It is a great bit of kit and his service was immaculate. *************** Not one shred of evidence supports the theory that life is serious - look at the platypus. Likewise....so its very sad to see these people being let down. I just wish he would sort out these problems for these people ...its not too late to and redeem his great reputation. It sounds like he's going thru hard times now...
