skyninja 0 #1 February 5, 2007 Do they affect quality of recording with video cameras (for example the mini DVs)? The Relative Workshop site has a disclaimer about "magnetic storage media". Anybody have firsthand experience with this? Why don't you just play 'chicken' on the railroad tracks? It would be a cheaper way to toy with death, I'm sure. CWR #2 - "You SAID collision!" skyninja 0 #5 February 6, 2007 You're right, that post didn't help her - aside from a gentle reminder to search the forum database. I'm guessing now that few people have had firsthand experience (actually have used it for its intended purpose during a real skydive instead of waving objects over the magnets at close range) with it, so I apologize for wasting forum space. Thank you, Dave, for the link. I think the source of the technology had the answer closest to the question I posed. Why don't you just play 'chicken' on the railroad tracks? Torso 0 #6 February 6, 2007 I just did 130 video jumps training camp with my new Vector, no problems.
DSE 5 #7 February 6, 2007 I put an HDV tape directly on top of a magnetic riser, it didn't erase nor corrupt any data. there was a guy standing there that claimed he "could see a softer picture" which is absurd, as digital media won't get softer; it's either there, or it's not there. Lots bits don't translate into a softer picture.
