Spatula 0 #1 February 22, 2007 If you had to choose, which would you get? I'm leaning toward the XT (8meg) just b/c the cost is a bit less. Aside from cost and meg size is there any notable difference? Thanks

Fast 0 #6 February 22, 2007 One thing that wasn't mentioned in the last thread is that on the average people were finding the XTi to get a 1-200 less shots per charge. Mostly due to the larger LCD screen I think. I would recomend 2 batteries for either though.~D Where troubles melt like lemon drops Away above the chimney tops That's where you'll find me. Faber 0 #7 February 23, 2007 i NEVER drained my standard battery on my 350d/XT perhaps if your doing a full time job as video/photho guy at the dz all day long.. Not even in frezzing conditions doing serval night shots... the 400d/xti will use more power on the bigger screen but the bigger screen is the best at the new cam i think.. If i need the sensors cleaned ill pay a pro to do so.. i had my cam for 1,5 year i havnt cleaned it yet.. not needed.. Stay safe Stefan Faber
Fast 0 #8 February 23, 2007 I have had to clean the sensor on my XT once. It was due to condensation that had formed jumping on a very humid day. I have also run my battery out of power many times. I do however shoot video full time on the weekends. The general information that I can find on the two is: Canon Digital Rebel XT 400 shots NB-2LH Canon Digital Rebel XTi 360 shots NB-2LH That is with 50% flash use, so the numbers using no flash will be higher, but there is still a difference. Don't take this to mean I don't recomend the XTi. Just warning that you will have to be more conscious about battery usage. I have an XT and plan to get an XTi when I have more cash laying around. (HDV camera is next though)~D Where troubles melt like lemon drops Away above the chimney tops That's where you'll find me. Faber 0 #9 February 23, 2007 well i often has wondered how much my batterys can take and often has been surpriced. No matter,no reasson to get low on power if you want to get the shots in,one day this super battery of mine also dies, then a second will be handy also has to add that i never use the built in flash so i dont use power on that one.i have a external. It all eat the power. pilotdave 0 #11 February 23, 2007 The weight difference is 16 grams, or 0.04 pounds. Don't think that's gonna play a big part of the decision. Dave
