Using a cameye or hypeye with a Sony HC46

I bought a Sony HC46 and wanted to know if anyone has bought this camera and can a cameye or hypeye be attached to it somehow.

LANC port is what the Cameye is plugged into. I don't believe the HC46 has one (off the top of my head).

No LANC on the HC46...you'd have to use a different kind of indicator.

i think you can still buy a kit to make one or premade fibre optic type indicator through paragear. square1 may have them as well.

It could be Skylite. I was searching for manual, but I have not found user manual of that indicator. Its supposed to work with camcorders without LANC.

Skylight 1 tapes a small sensor over the record idicator light usually in front of camera. A LED then shows the status of camera. I have one never used if your interested.

Overkill is under rated.

Thanks for the offer, but the HC-46 doesnt even have a tally light, so a skylite would not work either. Im pretty much out of luck, just got to get good at hitting the buttons before I exit. Thanks to all for the info!

I had the same problem with my HC36. It doesn't have LANC or an indicator light. I sold my camera to a skydiver that wanted it "just for the video" and was very patient and got a good deal on the HC96, it has LANC.
