hjumper33 0 #1 April 2, 2007 Im sure this has been asked numerous times, but I dont really know what to look for in the forum titles. I have an HC 42 and lately ive been getting some whiteing out during the brightest parts of the day. What settings do people use in the early afternoon? Ive been shooting in sports mode with autofocus and leaving the exposure on auto.
phoenixlpr 0 #2 April 2, 2007 Would a polarizing filter help you? It might remove some reflection too.
pope 0 #3 April 2, 2007 Polarizer is a good suggestion... other than that there are too many variables in your question to throw you a succinct answer. What do you mean by "whiting out?" slightly "overexposed?" Mostly white screen? Are you shooting with the sun at your back when it happens? Is it before opening or after? Do you have your "nightshot" locked in the "off" position? My best advice: RTFM and turn your autofucus off. cheers, pope
