PWScottIV 0 #1 April 13, 2007 So I'm seriously considering purchasing the SONY HDR-HC7 if it does indeed take still shots while simultaneously recording video. However, some people have mentioned that there might be some sort of delay in the video if you do so. From my research, I can't find anything about that being true, but I did find something in the manual that is a bit disturbing: "For each separate time tape recording, up to 3 still images can be recorded." OK, so that means you'd only get 3 friken pictures for each jump... That sorta sucks. Can anyone confirm this? Also, has anyone configured this camera (or any camera with a similar LANC Terminal) to shoot the stills with a bite switch. I know people on here are saying that it CAN be done, but I want to know if it HAS been done. Thanks in advance for the help!Gravity Waits for No One. I don't know about the HC7, but my HC3 will only record 3 stills while recording video, but there was never any visible delay in the video while doing so.
