TomBeals 0 #1 July 8, 2007 I just acquired a Sony Mini DV (DCR-TRV22) from my son. What do I need to adapt this to our sport? Lens? Mount? Remote Switch? I have a Nvertigo-X helmet. Just want to fool around with this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Tom Beals
ltdiver 3 #2 July 8, 2007 I have two 22's that I use. Good camera. As to what you need to use it in skydiving depends some on -how- you want to use it. RW? Freefly? Tandem? CRW? For myself I do all but freefly with my camera. I top mount with a Bonehead dbox and a Sony .6 lens. Cam-Eye II for an indicator. Ringsite (open) is my choice (only have one usable eye, so don't want to block it's vision). The Newton concentric ringsite is the one of choice at my home DZ. Hope this helps. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
VideoFly 0 #3 July 9, 2007 I’ve got 600 tandem and AFF videos on one of my TRV22s and about 100 on another. They work well. The LANC works well and durability is good, except for the plastic part of the case, which cracks easily, but doesn’t effect the operation.

TRV-22's (and 19's) are great camera's (so far) in my experience. you will probably need a few step up rings and wide angle lens'. other than that there is no need to "adapt" the camera. Unless you are asking how to fit it to your helmet. If that's the case, that's quite a vague question. there are lots of configurations you can use.My photos My Videos
