GordonH 0 #1 July 18, 2007 Anybody got any experience of clamping video cameras and/or stills cameras inside an aircraft to record the exit? For video - how do you dampen down the vibrations? For stills - how to control the shutter release? Wireless shutter release triggered by jumper? Extra long-cable shutter release triggered by the pilot? Clamps - any particular clamps recommended? Any other thoughts, tips, suggestions greatly appreciated. We're just considering some special shots of an event out of a Skyvan and Porter. Cheers Blue skies! Gordon Beware of advice from those with more posts than jumps ;-)
DSE 5 #2 July 18, 2007 Never done it with stills, but have done it with video. Manfrotto makes a multiclamp that will anchor to a float bar. I didn't worry about damping vibration. The clamp has rubberized mounts, and the plate has rubber beneath it as well, absorbing a very small amount, but the footage was quite useful.
