So which camera do you stand behind?

I see all these posts about the HC3,5 and 7 and everyone is saying that the HC5 and 7 doesnt work well with freeflying and then some people say it works fine...whats the truth?

I own 2 HC-5s and they work fine other than the LAC/cam eye issue I initial had. For what it's worth, I know of one guy who used 2 HC-5s without issue for the head down world record that has been FFing with them for some time. YMMV.

Scott... have you ever tried to use your HC5 with a different Cameye, or use that specific Cameye with a different camera? I know more than one person who uses HC5 with Cameye no problem. So I really still think it may be your Cameye... and I just ordered an HC5 so in two days we will see if it works with my Cameye, which I know is good.

No, I haven't.But I do suspect the cam eye may have been part of the issue even though it was brand new out of the package when I had the issues with it. I get along fine without the cameye, as it was more of a pain than it was worth IMO, especially when I have both HC5 cameras mounted.

Just bought a 2nd HC3 as a backup. Had #1 since 06/07 with not a single issue.
