I'm interested in getting into camera, and I just got a great line on this camera.

What are your thoughts on using this in freefall?

Aside from the normal comments about jump numbers....

if it's really, really cheap there is no reason you'd not be OK with it.
It's a very small sensor camera that no one builds a box for, that is discontinued by JVC. But if it's cheap, and you want to shoot video...it would work.
Bear in mind, no LANC for a HypEye/indicator connection, no remote stop/start. No box.

Lots of trouble.

I'd rather check for what cameras do helmet mfgs making boxes....

I'll pass on the camera then, considering both my complete lack of experience, and the disadvantages with the camera, it might be better to save a bit (and jump some more) to get myself a better camera.
