jheadley 0 #1 September 24, 2007 I have a PC109 that hasn't worked for a year, any time I put a tape in it, it gives a "Please reinsert the cassette" error message. This happens with any tape, and I've tried the "whack it really hard" method of fixing it. (This was actually the remedy that turned up on multiple searches) I quit doing video but am thinking about getting back into it. Should I send it to sony to get it repaired, or should I buy another one off of ebay for 400-500 dollars?
SimonBones 1 #2 September 24, 2007 I was getting all those same error messages on my PC1000 after 2 years of jumping it. I sent it off to Precision who charged me almost $400 and 3 weeks to fix it after originally quoting me $300 and 3 days. I've been seeing a lot of people starting to jump those HD cameras. Apparently you can get them for about $850. Maybe you should go HD and new. You'll get a warranty for a while and upgrade your video quality. If it did break I imagine it would be cheaper and quicker to fix because it is not a model (like the PCs) that are out of production.108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
