Sony HDR-HC7E

Hello

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this camera yet in a skydiving capacity? I'm looking to replace my camera soon with either a second hand PC1000 (if I can find one!) or save up another couple of months and get the HDR-HC7E.

The only worry I have is that I know two people who have had experience with HD cameras (don't know which models) that suggested the image wasn't stable at times, like the anti-shake system was messing up or something. Is this typical of HD cameras in general??

Any info you guys mayhave would be greatly appreciated.

I searched before postng my topic on "HC7E" which only brought up one topic on a bite switch / cameye.

Just searched for "HC7" though after reading your reply and yeah now I see the full picture!!

The "E" just means "PAL"

Yep Euro version. Just didn't dawn on me to drop the "E" on a predominantly NTSC discussion board!

Well guess it's carry on waiting for a good PC1000 to come along..

Just get an HC5, they work fine! Why does choice have to be either HC7 or PC1000?
