DSE 5 #1 December 20, 2007 Any reason this wouldn't be useful as a top plate? They sent me samples, and they are as sturdy as solid CF, but almost half the weight. Moreover, much easier to work with. But looking for a reason they wouldn't work. I've got the samples soaking in water overnight to see what happens (they claim "nothing adverse will happen." Care to comment? The111 1 #4 December 20, 2007 Hmm... it won't be quite as strong as normal CF but it may be strong enough. The weight savings aren't much but I guess every little bit helps. I guess it would work. EDIT: If you want to make countersunk (flush) screw holes, they may not be as well supported with the wood core. I'll ask these guys and see what they think.www.WingsuitPhotos.com
Laszloimage 0 #5 December 20, 2007 They have lots of different products. The one you showed (the link) works. I know because I bougth the same thing from these guys during the summer, and I used it without any problem. It's a bit pricy though. Did you get some kind of deal from them? -Laszlo-
