Kimblair13 0 #1 January 18, 2008 How can you get the camera to stay on manual focus and beach and ski? It will last for a day then over night you have to re-set.
DSE 5 #2 January 19, 2008 It'll actually hold for 12 hours, if it's like the other consumer cams. I'm not aware of a means of keeping it in manual focus; maybe someone else is?
ficus 0 #3 January 19, 2008 I set mine at the beginning of every jump day. I don't believe there is a way to get it to "stick".
rhys 0 #4 January 19, 2008 I just make it part of my start of the day routine to check the focus. I only use beach and ski occasionaly when the sun is directly overhead or the day is overcast. I love the extra width i get from the HC96 though. Especially for handcam. compared to the other staff here at my dz my footage has the customers whole body in the shot, quite rare for handcam."When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix
x-claim 0 #5 January 23, 2008 Hey Rhyso Anyway, I have the same issue with my CX7, so I just put a sticker on it to remind me at the start of every day to set the focus, no big deal now that it has become part of the routine!
