chaospilot 6 #1 February 12, 2008 My Pc109 has just recently started giving me a problem. The battery is fully charged, but when the camera is powered off, the settings are not being saved. ie. On the ground, set the Focus, and Program AE..turn off for the plane ride, turn the camera back on, the settings are not saved? Does the PC109 have an internal battery for the settings? or is this related to the battery itself? Thanks for the help.Bryan Cavage, D-19100 AFF I, Tandem I, Vidiot http://www.dropzonesolutions.com -Social Media Consultant and Skydiving Gear Guru
Iceburner 0 #2 February 12, 2008 sorry i can't answer your specific question, but what i do is just put the camera on standby...main reason is turning it on n off all the time seems hard on the hardware....turning it off for the plane ride, after interview in plane, landing, etc...about 3-4 startups per jump....it adds up. i think if you just leave it on standby, problem is "solved" and you can keep on shooting vids. I have the 109 as well by the way.
mwabd1 0 #3 February 12, 2008 I would think that there is an internal battery but, I just looked at my 109 and can't seem to locate one. I am not so sure that leaving it in standby will help, other than draining your battery, although it will definitly keep your setting the same........I hereby reject your reality and instead choose to insert my own! Quincy 0 #4 February 13, 2008 Sony's manual for the 109 says it has an internal rechargeable button-type battery that holds those settings ... but ... it does not say how to change it. It does say ... to recharge it, put it on the charger and leave it for MORE THAN 24 hours. Be sure the power switch is set to Off-Charge. Hope this helps.
