skydog.paul 0 #1 February 13, 2008 There are lot of good helmet on the market to choose from, what makes a good camera helmet and what are they all missing in your opinions.
Unparagoned 0 #2 February 13, 2008 I would like a FF2/FF3 style helmet but with the camcorder located on top. So you have the enclosure to reduce snag points, plus it is on top out of the way of the risers. I guess it would mean a stills camera couldn't be fitted on.. DSE 5 #3 February 13, 2008 Lightweight, multiple mounting options, sturdy, solid connection between chin and back of skull, dual audible pockets, trustworthy cutaway, wide enough to mount multiple devices on top, flush mounting system, easy removal of gear, tight fit without discomfort, smooth enough to avoid/deflect snags, narrow enough to help avoid riser strike, cheaper than a laptop. I don't think anyone has every feature I'd like to see, outside of the custom jobs like Matt Hoover and others have made ala Wes Rich. Even then, I can think of things I wish were different. stevebabin 0 #4 February 14, 2008 Lightweight, snagproof, full face with shield, room for video, still, and flash. Good cutaway system and inside pocket for an audible."Science, logic and reason will fly you to the moon. Religion will fly you into buildings."
