Camera Helmet cases

Maybe this is a stupid question but what do y'all use to transport your camera helmets when going to and from the dropzone?

A Pelican for any distance traveling, my front seat for my 10-minute ride home each day.

Helmet bag bought from 2k. Has soft fleece stuff on the inside so protects it from scratches and very minor bumps etc. I drive a 2-seater sports car so I don't have space for a rigid case or I'd use one - there's next to no impact protection with a bag. DV just stays mounted in its box and the stills just sits inside the helmet. Not ideal, but it's ok so long as I'm not throwing the thing around.

Long-distance, like when travelling overseas, I just pack the helmet with my clothes and stuff it full of underwear for the trip to it won't get crushed. Camera's either go on my person for shooting things from the trip itself or are packed into a proper, commercial camera bag to keep em safe.

My FF2 fits perfectly into a Brand X (square 1) helmet bag I won in a raffle. Beats the plastic bag I was using for a while when I first got the helmet, or the pillow case I kept my Z1 in for years.

I use one of those collapsible ice chests that I had sitting around, it provides a little bit of padding and some space for the extras.

I use 2 pelicans, 1 for camera gear and 1 for rigs. They also make great portable seats .

fwiw: I actually have a pelican case (a silver 1560) and I really like it. Its just that it isn't really large enough to carry my FTP.

I've seen Phreezone's case but I'm curious about what size pelican each of you use?

I use the 1650. In it I can fit my SkySystems Vapor (top-mount), my Nvertigo X (FF, side-mount), cameras for all, and lots of extra chargers, cables, tapes, etc.

I use a 1620 with a 1600 and 1500 insert. It holds my FTP and all my cameras and other stuff. Amd another 1620 for 2 rigs and suit.

Pelican 1610 with my FTP with vid and still cameras plus chargers and extras.
