DSE 5 #4 March 16, 2008 Advanced Metal (Evaporated) II=Second Generation Newer tape particle format that allows for a +4dB greater carrier signal, it allows for 80% greater error correction for HD signal. Been around for roughly 3 years in video, almost 5 years in data archiving. tough stuff, has a long shelf life. Not sure what else to say about it. From what I've heard, and from experience, Panasonic's "Master" quality tapes seem to be pretty good. They're white with a blue label.Gravity Waits for No One.
