marcin 0 #1 March 24, 2008 I bought a Sony HDR-FX7 for ground shots. Great picture quality ( but having problems capturing hdv stream - Ulead Media Pro 8 is such a crap) and I was trying to get some frame grabs as jpeg. Ulead Capture (that I normally use to frame grab from dv does) not recognise mpeg2 files that were created by Ulead Editor from m2t file captured by HDVSplit (even though these mpeg2 files can be edited in Ulead Capture). Perhaps you have any idea how to obtain full quality frame grabs from my tape? Thanks..
DSE 5 #2 March 24, 2008 Sony Vegas, Adobe OnLocation both do a great job of capturing resampled, full rez images. If you need to upscale them, there are many tools with which to do this. Ulead sucks at this, because they drop a field/half rez at best. So does Avid.
marcin 0 #3 March 24, 2008 Thanks. I just bought a Vegas Platinum. Capturing video is easy indeed (why have a spent 400+ USD on UMSP8 that was discontinued a few days later..).
