MattMazzocco 0 #1 March 25, 2008 This weekend i had a jump taped and i need to transfer the format of the file. The video works on dvd players, but when you open the cd on the comp it will play the vid, but the folders have multiple files in them needed to play the video. I want to transfer this to an uploadable format but have no idea how to do this. Matt
dragon2 2 #2 March 25, 2008 Copy the biggest .vob file to your harddrive. Rename to .mpg. Import that into your favorite video editing program. Export to something small enough to upload. ciel bleu, Saskia
pbwing 0 #3 April 11, 2008 I'm having a similar issue. I had some 8mm tapes copied to DVD. I copied those files and I'm trying to rename the largest vob file to .mpg but I can't see to do it in Vista. It changes the file name to whatever.mpg, but the file type still is VOB... Any help?!? DSE 5 #4 April 11, 2008 You're probably not really changing the extension. Vista does this differently than XP, if you're using Vista? Click Computer in the Start menu. Press the Alt key on the right side of your keyboard. A hidden menu will appear in the Computer window. Click Tools and then click Folder Options. Click the View tab. Uncheck Hide extensions for known file types.
