GeorgeKat 0 #1 April 14, 2008 I searched the forum and found this: http://www.technodz.com/category/product but there is no response from the site to my requests. Does anyone know where I can get this or a similar product? I want CamEye II functionality with zoom control via LANC on a Sony PC 330.
cacrinklaw 0 #2 April 16, 2008 Contact the makers of the cameye directly. I had one made 2 years ago for exactly what I wanted. It is a little pricey though. Well worth it. Or you can check this url http://www.sports-camera.com/helmet_cam_accessories.htm They have several items you may be interested in The best bet is still the Mfg they will make exactly what you want in 2-3 weeks

GeorgeKat 0 #5 April 16, 2008 Ideally It would replicate the on-camera control although I think the camera incorporates a potentiometer that adjusts the rate and direction of zoom and I don't really need this. Second best would be pre-set, fixed rate with two switch points: zoom-in and zoom-out. Third best would be two, pre-set zoom positions that I can select from with a single button press. The application is simple - I want to be able to zoom my ground footage (for tandem and AFF) without taking the camera out of the DBox. The zoom control switch position on the PC330 coincides with the hinge on the DBox and is on the helmet side (side-mount) so I can't cut an access hole. Iceburner 0 #6 April 17, 2008 how about saving some money and landing close to the tandem or affjust kidding...i normally either ride it a lil low or spiral under canopy to ensure enough time to take the cam outta my d-box to be able to zoom in case the tandem lands a bit away from me...then do some extra editing.
