I did a search and the only thread I found dealt with C31:32. I have an HC-42. Looks like this is a good reason to get a backup camera. Anyone know where I can get and HC-42? sinjin 0 #3 April 27, 2008 i have a HC-42 as well, and there are a couple of things that will clear the problem. the first is to take the battery off for 30 secs and replace. sometimes this works. the next one is to run a DV head cleaner for the recommended time (15-30 sec i think).. the last is bizzare but works.. with the unit off,, give a couple of solid hand whacks to the screen side of the camera with it closed.. i have read several articles by repair techs that recommend it actually.. it may just solve it for good,, or it may come back... i had mine work for a while,, but i couldnt count on it for tandems so i got another one.. i got mine off craigslist,, but ebay is fine too.... i recommend getting the HC-40 actually if you can find one.. it is the exact same size, but it has the firewire connection and no dumb cradle. i save my old one for a back up and a charger...dont let life pass you by Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
