jg4101 0 #1 May 5, 2008 So I bought a new .29 30mm liquid lens for my HC 37, (which is like the 38 but in PAL format i think). I had a .6 sony wide angle lens before which had no vignetting, unfortunately it was knocked off by a hard opening so i replaced it with the much more expensive liquid lens, hoping for the same quality, but lower profile. The liquid lens is giving me major vignetting, dispite the fact that it is quoted by cookie composites as having "No vignetting with or without filter option." Its pretty annoying, given i paid the equivalent of over $200 for it. Anyone else having this problem? im not using a step ring by the way.
980 0 #2 May 6, 2008 Hi I had the same issue on a 30mm thread Liquid 2 when used with a PC1000. Contact Cookie Composites or your Cookie dealer if you bought through one. Cookie got back to me right away and fixed my problem. I received great customer service from Cookie and recommend you contact them about this. cya sam
CRESPO24 0 #3 June 18, 2008 I bought a Liquid 3 x 0.29 Wide angle lens with a filter, for my cx7, and i have the same problem. They told me that they never heard about that and that the solution is to change it with a Liquid 5!
DSE 5 #4 June 18, 2008 That makes little sense. If you have a CX7, you have a 37mm thread. A .3 or a .5 will not vignette unless you've added a thread ring to downsize.
CRESPO24 0 #5 June 18, 2008 Ok. On their page they are saying "No vignetting with or without filter option". I bought the lens and the filter kit as they sell it exactly below . No thread ring has been added.
