ltdiver 3 #1 May 20, 2008 It looks like our job as cameraflyers isn't the only dangerous sport's photographer position... Photographer stuck around to get his own shot That gotta hurt! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
DSE 5 #2 May 20, 2008 walking into the danger zone during the javelin throw isn't terribly bright. Funny thing is, the injured photographer took that picture himself. He got lucky, no bone was hit. IMO, most of us go 'plenty far' when it comes to getting the shot.
Zee 0 #3 May 20, 2008 We just had a photographer at the race track bust himself up pretty good. I was shooting across the track with one of the corner marshal's while this guy was standing on a concrete wall by pit out. A piece of air fence (just huge inflatable cushions that they wrap around hard objects in case of a collision) broke loose in a dust devil, flew across the track, and knocked the guy to the pavement. It's been over two weeks and the guy is still in the hospital with a "demolished knee and upper tibia" according to the doc. Strange things happen - it's just best to be somewhere else when they do Action©Sports
