but I wonder how well that would work from 12000 feet.

says nothing about the max. distance. But I highly doubt it works for more than 3000 feet.. Plus this thing does not look like it could survive a freefall unharmed..

Though it would be awesome for the spectators on the ground to have it mounted on the plane..
