are you picky with your packjobs?

Recommended Posts

Ive got a packing mat that ill use if im packing outside. If im packing inside (i usually do) i just walk the bag up rather than dragging the container to me. As the actual pack goes everyone else seems to think its fairly untidy but i know where every thing is. Always clear the lines and tail. Get it done in 5 if im in a rush. Tends to open nicer the quicker i do it, so im gradually doing less and less! Im fairly careful when putting the bag into the container making sure the excess lines dont wrap a line stow. No reserve rides in 250 of my own pack jobs or about 70 ive done for other people.

OK, I've only done 2 packjobs, waited an hour so I could get to packing/drag mat and sufficient space (inside the hangar). Was anal about the canopy itself and getting it in the bag, but the lines didn't look too great, but I know they were tight and even.

I jumped the first, best opening I've ever had (though I say so myself), mate's gf jumped the second, quickest and yet softest opening she'd ever had. Think I'll carry on doing it the same way.

I am very picky about some aspects of packing....I jump a Sabre....

I do not use a packing mat....but I also don't drag my container.

I have had two cutaways....both on other people's pack jobs.

I flat pack my Sabre...and take a lot of flack for it. I have not had anyone pack a better opening for me than I do, except the previous owner of this canopy.

I will stick with flat packing. I am not to picky about line stows (heck, I even let Skymedic do them for me.....:P)

I check my closing loop every jump for length and tightness....

Not too picky. However, I'm careful in quartering the slider and rolling the nose. If I'm sloppy with those two things, the canopy lets me know it on opening.B| I'm somewhat careful in the line stows. I don't worry if they aren't perfect, but I make sure they look as they should. Other than those three points, run em up, flake it, cocoon it, stuff it, stow em, jump it. Oh yea, have fun!
