skydiveoc 0 #1 June 10, 2008 Has anyone had a chance to verify if the dual record feature (take stills while recording video) on the new Sony HD cameras will work remotely with hypeye or some other system?
pattersd 0 #2 June 10, 2008 I have a cx7 with the hypeye D pro and the expansion kit. you can take a picture while recording video. trunk did a nice job.
skydiveoc 0 #3 June 10, 2008 what is the expansion kit? Can your pcs blow up beyond 4 x 6?
AMac0001 0 #4 June 10, 2008 A little off topic, but have you experienced the "shaky picture while sitflying" problem with your cx7? I really like this camera but have been going back and forth on getting one based on some of what I've been reading about this issue, so I'm just trying to ask around. Thanks. See my thread: CX7 - Shake while freeflying. To me at least, head up the camera is worthless. In any other orientation it works pretty well.~D Where troubles melt like lemon drops Away above the chimney tops That's where you'll find me. frost 1 #6 June 10, 2008 Not sure about newer cams, bit that feature on CX7 is useless: only three pics per video and a huge delay when taking them.
bomb420 1 #7 June 10, 2008 Or you can switch to photo mode and take unlimited pictures. Yes, the delay is like most point and shoot cameras. My hope is cameras will morph into this feature going forward and provide unlimited stills while recording. The photomode, should be a good feature for the weekend camera flyer who wants to get some stills once in a while. Sorry, it's no Mark III. What I've been telling people is to press the PHOTO button on the ground or in the store. How the camera reacts to that, is more or less how the bite switch will work. -TrunkHYPOXIC
dragon2 2 #8 June 10, 2008 Right now there's a camera that does it the other way round: 60 fps photos so movie + pics in one It's not a very good camera for either, a DSLR + HDV camera are better, but it's still pretty cool imo http://www.dpreview.com/news/0801/08010601casiof1.asp ciel bleu, Saskia
