jeremy_o 0 #1 August 18, 2008 Hi, Mainly my question is: Are there a low profile wide angle lens that is less than $150 . I am new to video work and would prefer to not cut up my d-box yet and also would prefer to not spend 150 on a royal lens (yet). Am I asking for too much? I need a 37mm. I already looked at the Sony offerings but they appear to be slightly too large. TIA, Jeremyhttp://planetskydive.net/ - An online aggregation of skydiver's blogs. jeremy_o 0 #2 August 18, 2008 Shame on me for replying to myself. I need to measure my dbox when I get home tonight again but maybe the kenko .5 would work: http://www.buy.com/prod/kenko-sgw-05-0-5x-wide-angle-conversion-lens/q/loc/111/90104351.html http://planetskydive.net/ - An online aggregation of skydiver's blogs. parachutist 2 #3 August 19, 2008 This one has worked great for me: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/229934-REG/Century_Precision_Optics_0DS_55WA_37_DS_55WA_37_0_55x_Wide_Angle.html It's small and the optics are great for the price Here's a lens comparison test by DSE, which includes the Century .55x: http://www.spottedeagle.com/Skydive/lens_tests.htm
jeremy_o 0 #4 August 20, 2008 Thanks for the links. I was hoping not to spend quite that much on my first lens but I may bite the bullet.http://planetskydive.net/ - An online aggregation of skydiver's blogs.
