Has anyone used a Sony HC 32 video camera for skydiving? If so, can you tell me what stepdown ring to buy and what wide angle you recommend for such a camera. I'd also like a suggestion on a good camera helmet that works with the camera. Thanks for any help you can provide.

You don't need a stepdown ring if you buy a lense with a 25 mm thread. I use a 32 for handcam with a 0.25 lense but that would be too wide for what you want I suspect.

I jump an HC-32 every weekend. It does pretty well I guess. I have a Rawa and am still playing with different lenses for it. As for step down rings, you can find lenses with a 25mm thread pattern or you can find just about any size step down ring you need. I just bought a 0.38x wide angle lens that has a 37mm back thread and step it down with a 25mm to 37mm ring like this one.
