hjumper33 0 #1 October 28, 2008 Is there anyway to get this into my cookie box without just hacking it off. Just got it today and figuring out the best way to play with it.
monkycndo 0 #2 October 28, 2008 Butch from Byron can nestle the strap of his cx7 up on top of the camera and it makes for a snug fit. I tried it and it was a pain. So I just cut it off. I staggered the cut on the two pieces, so if I want to sew it back on, I can stitch it at the overlap.50 donations so far. Give it a try. DSE 5 #3 October 28, 2008 You'll need to cut it off, but you can leave a small bit of 'tail.' A rigger should be able to re-stitch it on, should you need it.
bomb420 1 #4 October 28, 2008 I machined the box so that the strap would come out side of the box and then you can gaffer or use a snap clip to seat it. I'd rather cut it off if you are using the camera for serious skydiving vids.HYPOXIC
frost 1 #5 October 28, 2008 You DONT need to cut the strap off. Remove the padding then fold and put a couple of stitches to hold the strap to fit your hand. It will fit in the cookie box just fine.
apdicenzo 0 #6 October 28, 2008 hi does the cx 12 havea a docking station? , what connections if any are on the cameraQuote
 RMK 3 #7 October 28, 2008 loosen the strap and then fold it under the camera. Where you have padding under the the camera, remove the right side and let the strap serve as padding. They're expensive cameras; I wouldn't ruin it and render it unusable outside of your helmet."Pain is the best instructor, but no one wants to attend his classes"
 azureskybrd 0 #8 November 7, 2008 I cut mine leaving about 3/4" sticking out from the back of the camera and then sewed on a small split ring so it can be re-attached to the strap. Works well.Shut Up And JUMP!!!
 Join the conversation You can post now and register later.
