Tanman 0 #1 November 2, 2008 Does anyone have any advice for someone who wants to just take video for my friends and I to watch? I am not flying camera for anything other than laughing about later with friends...have been looking at the Sony CX12... I have a Bonehead Mindwarp (just purchased) so it would be a side-mounted camera...A friend recommended the PC 107.... anyone with knowledge, please help!!! thanks in advance for ANY and ALL advice!!! monkycndo 0 #2 November 2, 2008 This subject has been beat to death. Please follow the hard learned guidelines of waiting to at least 200 jumps before putting a camera on. No matter how much you think it will be just to look at later with your buddies, it will be distracting. If your posted jump numbers are correct, now is not the time to be adding the complexity of a camera to your jumps. There are many threads about cameras to fly. A CX12 will be quite wide as a side mount. There is a thread about side mounts. The search function is your friend.50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
Tanman 0 #3 November 3, 2008 point taken... I don't plan on putting the thing on now, as I have been told that already... any advice on models would be greatly appreciated... I have heard that some shake when the wearer is in a sit position... basically, It WILL NOT BE WORN for the recommended time... I have, although new to the sport, already lost one friend and do recognize the inherent dangers of skydiving...as I said, this is just a quest to figure out what would work best (for down the road)... and my jump numbers are pretty accurate, I AM still UNDER 100 jumps...and I willl search the thread about side mounts...thanks! PhreeZone 20 #4 November 3, 2008 Down the road something newer and better will have came along. Its better to wait until you are ready or else the temptation is there the entire time to just do it anyways...Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
