skyflychris 0 #1 November 4, 2008 I recently bought a digital Sony Handycam SR65 40G digital camera. I have heard they aren't that good for skydiving? Does anyone know if this is true or do you have any experience with them? Most of the people I know have the older models with a tape. Any input would be appreciated. Blue skies !!! P.S.-The Team Dirty Sanchez Hog Flop at Skydive Palatka was AWESOME this past weekend. [url]teamdirtysanchez.comOrdinary's..... just not good enough today. monkycndo 0 #2 November 4, 2008 Take a peek in the camera and video forum. The hard drive in the camera can't handle the change in pressure at altitude and takes a dump after only a few jumps. Save your self some grief and leave that camera on the ground.50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
DSE 5 #3 November 4, 2008 Jump it a few times, watch it explode. seriously. The HDD system needs air pressure in order to function correctly. Altitudes higher than 9m/10k feet will blow it up sooner or later/most likely sooner. There is a lot of discussion about HDD cams in the Photo forum.
