customguy79 0 #1 December 7, 2008 Has anyone used this camera succesfully without it shutting off just prior to exit? I have turned off every option available and it shuts off as soon as it hits wind. Or has anyone any suggestions on modifications to help make this work? sinjin 0 #2 December 7, 2008 some people have used gaffers tape to cover any holes that allow wind into openings on camera that may cause it to shut off. other people sell non sony models to their wuffo friends and buy SONY. just saying.dont let life pass you by

Laszloimage 0 #4 December 7, 2008 This camera records onto a Hard Drive. Hard drives fail at altitude due to the low air pressure. You'll neen a camcorder recording onto either tape or solid state memory. But at least a hybrid camera like the Sony SR11 or SR12 where you can turn off the hard drive and record on a memory stick while you skydive. Yes, I recommend one of the Sony models too.
