bdunk14 0 #1 January 8, 2009 I cannnot get Vista to recognize my pc 115 over firewire. Is anyone have any suggestions? I can use USB to download off the memory stick, but I can capture the video of the mindv to my computer. I have talked with Sony, HP, and others, and still can't figure this one out. I hooked this camera and firewire to XP and it works just fine. It seems to be something in Vista. Does anyone know a way around this? THanks.
airdog07 0 #2 January 8, 2009 is your compute desktop or laptop computer?.laptop you need to go to the manufacture of the laptop and download and install driver, dos it recognize the video camera at all ? have that camera plug in and on start the editing program and unplug and plug back in the cable and or turn the camera off and on couple times . XP the driver is install automatically but vista you need to install some driver for it, get a newest driver, what video edition program are you using, why you want to use vista any way"A peaceful heart leads to a healthy body; jealousy is like cancer in the bones ..." airdog07 0 #4 January 9, 2009 you have hp laptop what model ? what software using ? is the firewire come with the computer or is it add on ? if the computer do not recognize the camera it is the driver and /or software problem, most likely it's the driver, you need to download from HP or third party, some software well recognize most camera but not all, even set on generic type, most likely it is the driver."A peaceful heart leads to a healthy body; jealousy is like cancer in the bones ..."
