Mikki_ZH 0 #1 January 29, 2009 I have tonns of vid material in .m2t form from editing with premiere pro. I have now changed to apple and I am working with with final cut express now. Does anybody know if and how know I can import these files into final cut without having to capture the whole shit again?Michi (#1068) hsbc/gba/sba www.swissbaseassociation.ch www.michibase.ch
mccordia 74 #2 January 29, 2009 Yea, .m2t is just a normal MPG stream. In case Final Cut doesnt recognise the extention/file, you can try renaming it .mpgJC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
DSE 5 #3 January 29, 2009 Final Cut won't accept either extension. It wants to see the codec converted. This takes time, although it is significantly faster than real time. Once you've converted these files, they will no longer be readable in Premiere. You're MUCH better off just buying Premiere for Mac for the amount of time you'll likely save. FCE is fairly finicky about what codecs it will and won't accept.
Mikki_ZH 0 #4 January 30, 2009 Thanks, I tried it Jarnos with Jarnos trick but it did not work... :-( But I like the final cut better then premiere pro so I will just spend the time and capture all my tapes again :-(Michi (#1068) hsbc/gba/sba www.swissbaseassociation.ch www.michibase.ch
